- Is Melsun free to start?
- Yes. Sign in and you get 100 starter credits plus unlimited free chat models. You also get five free Shipment Tracking runs. Premium chat and paid generation models use credits.
- How do credit subscriptions work?
- Monthly is $20 and sets your balance to 2,000 credits each billing month. Annual is $180 and sets your balance to 24,000 credits each year. On renewal, unused credits and top-ups are wiped and replaced with the new allotment.
- Who can buy top-up packs?
- Only users with an active Monthly or Annual subscription. Packs are $10 / 1,000, $20 / 2,000, and $50 / 5,000. They add to your balance mid-cycle and are cleared when your plan refreshes.
- What do credits cover?
- Premium chat models cost 2–8 credits per turn depending on the model. Web browsing adds 0.5 credits when search runs. Pasting a YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or X video link adds 1 credit when a transcript is fetched (native captions only). Reading a page URL you paste adds 1 credit when scraped. YouTube channel/playlist lookups add 1 credit when used. Image, video, and audio generations show their credit cost before you run them. Free chat models do not require credits.
- How does Shipment Tracking billing work?
- A tracking run is one executed spreadsheet, regardless of how many Bill of Lading rows it contains. Free Trial includes 5 lifetime runs. Starter is $30/mo for 30 runs. Pro is $99/mo for 200 runs. Enterprise is custom. Checkout with the same email as your Melsun account so your plan activates automatically.
- Can I use both AI apps and logistics workflows?
- Yes. One Melsun account covers creative AI apps and optional workflows like Shipment Tracking.
- Can I cancel or get a refund?
- Yes. Open Account → Credits → Manage billing / Cancel (Stripe Customer Portal), or email admin@melsun.ai. Canceling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the current period ends, then remaining credits reset to 0 and top-ups lock again. Fees are generally non-refundable once credits or plan entitlements are granted, except where required by law. Unused credits and top-ups are also wiped when a subscription renews — that is the allotment reset, not a separate refund.
